this is ridiculous.

I already posted this on facebook and sent it to some people but I can’t say anything more than this is ridiculous. 

what’s it going to take for us to wake up?
what’s it going to take for us to wake up and start repenting to the Holy God!?

it doesn’t matter whether or not Jesus is coming in our lifetime. the HOLY HOLY HOLY God can strike the city of San Diego, LA, New York, etc. in AN INSTANT and what are we doing? we’re obsessively worrying over finals and projects. we’re crazed over the new iPad coming out. we’re too caught up in our insecurities and selfish issues.

IT DOES NOT MATTER, WHETHER OR NOT JESUS IS COMING IN OUR LIFETIME. WE HAVE TO BE READY EVERY SINGLE DAY. you don’t know if Jesus is going to strike you, me, our families, friends, etc. and if He chooses to do so, we don’t know when that will be. 

what will it take for you to wake up and get ready and start walking the way of the cross? 

don’t tell me that God won’t hit America because He is a God of love.

BECAUSE He is a God of love, He will do whatever it will take to CRUSH the sin and filth out of His children so that He can bring us into His kingdom. 
BECAUSE He is a God of love, He will do whatever it will take for His children to awaken and repent before the holiness of God.
BECAUSE He is a God of love, He, the God of the entire universe, chooses to come down to this filthy, disgusting world so that He can redeem the fall of mankind.

i need to stop worrying about finals, food, clothes, money! i don’t have time!
this world is not meant for us. this is satan’s kingdom. our home is in Heaven, our citizenship is not of this world. we need to wake up.

i’m not yelling but all of this is creating a deep urgency for me to get on my knees and plant my face to the ground and cry out for mercy. we, as Christians, need to understand that God is NOT ONLY a God of love but He is a God of holiness and wrath. 

“Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned you rulers of the earth. 
Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way,
for His wrath can flare up in a moment.
Blessed are those who take refuge in Him.” (Psalm 2:10-12) 

So God, have mercy over this nation! 
“Have mercy on [us], O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion, blot out [our] transgressions.”
